Join the exclusive group of early members who will shape what our “Third Place” becomes. Show your support with a fully-refundable deposit of $99, which will cover your first month of membership when we open (and is the same discounted monthly price that you’ll pay for life).

Common Questions

Note: this FAQ is based on preliminary planning and specifics will likely be adjusted.

  • The $99 (or $990 if annual) deposit is your vote of confidence in The Eddy. By backing us now, you help us prove the concept and fund the buildout. In exchange, you lock in the $99/mo rate for life and secure your spot on the Founders Wall. The $99 is credited directly to your first month of membership when we open.

  • While the annual membership provides the most value, the monthly membership is the most flexible and can be canceled with a 30-day notice so we can manage capacity. Note: The "Founding Member" rate is only valid for continuous memberships. If you cancel and rejoin later, you will return at the current market rate.

  • We are planning to open on the main street in downtown New Richmond (Knowles Ave). We are currently finalizing the paperwork on a historic storefront that fits our vibe perfectly. We will drop the exact address to our Founding Members first.

  • While we’re still working through specifics, there will be music and there will be games. Become a member to get the most say in what’s included!

    Music: There will always be music to fit the mood, whether it be a live acoustic musician, vinyl album listening, or ambient sounds to promote flow state.

    Games: Think board games, video games, darts, etc.

  • Our main level—which includes the Lounge, Coffee Bar, Restrooms, and primary Workspaces—is fully accessible from the street. However, The Eddy is located in a historic building without an elevator, so the lower level ("The Den") is accessible via stairs only. All amenities (power, wifi, refreshments) are available on the main floor.

  • Day Mode (Workspace): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

    Night Mode (Social): 5:00 PM – Late. Members have access 24/7. If you do your best work at 2 AM, the space is yours.

  • Yes. Members are allowed to bring guests for meetings or coffee for up to 2 hours free of charge. If your guest needs to work for the full day, they will need to purchase a Day Pass ($20) at the bar.

  • We operate on the "Coffee Shop Rule." Short, semi-quiet calls are fine in the Upstairs Lounge. For loud, confidential, or long meetings, please step into one of our phone booths or book the meeting room. The Downstairs Den is a silent zone.

  • To ensure a clean environment for everyone (and manage allergies), The Eddy is a pet-free facility. Kids: During workday hours (8am–5pm), we are an 18+ workspace to ensure focus. During evening social hours and weekend events, supervised children are welcome to join the community.

  • Yes. Members have access to a professional laser printer for reasonable use, paid for per page.

  • The taps will serve a curated selection of NA (Non-Alcoholic) beers, kombucha, and mocktails.
